My mother used to say, “Enjoy the age you are today, because you only get one chance to live it.” I turn one year older, today 1-1-11. It is such an auspicious day to start a new year. What will this year bring?
Each day is a new beginning … a chance to remove the past and create the future. We only have one chance to live it. It is up to us to turn each event of the day into an opportunity. The real power of positive thinking is how our intention and expression of thoughts can influence and change our reality and sense of self. We each have the power to change the future, but creating positive intentions today.
Last evening, New Year’s Eve, our dog Remedy was sprayed by a skunk right in the middle of our evening of celebration and family games. Instead of being upset, we simply cleaned the dear dog with 1 qt. Peroxide, ¼ cup baking soda, a dash of dist soap. Within an hour, Remedy was fresh and clean and we were back playing cards. Instead of complaining, it will mark last evening as a memorable event that we can long talk about.
